My Grad porject
- generators use mechanical power to make electricity
- the first of these was built by Michael Faraday in 1831
- and it is this generator that is the predecessor for all modern power generators
- there are many different types of generators, gas or diesel which use a motor to turn the generator, there is manual where you would crank it your self, and there is hydro which uses a river or flowing water source to turn the generator.
- the hoover dam uses water and generators to make enough electricity to light up all the lights in Las Vegas and then some
- many people today depend on generators for electricity, in there houses , in there cars and also for the lights on the streets.
